I've "lucked" into a wonderful new job and work for/with some wonderful people! It has reaffirmed in my mind that good things come to those who wait... granted, I waited... albeit not patiently! HA!!
Through my failed procedures and now my surgery, Kari and Kristy have been understanding, supportive, encouraging, and kept me laughing! I got home-cooked meals from each of them, bags of chocolate, cards, calls checking up on me, rides when I couldn't drive, and schnauzer socks!
That they care is wonderful; that they took the time to do those "special" little things for me and hubby is what makes them more than just co-workers.
These type of people are like the trunk of a tree, your life-long friends. They will be there when times are tough, and see you through your times of need. The ones that will step out of their own comfort zone to help you. They add to you in more ways then one. They are a support system to you. They listen and their advice comes from what is best for you without self motives.
I have a handful of friends like this, and I feel very blessed for all of you!!!

Whether it was recommending a doctor, recommending a good wine, teaching me the art of jewelry making or just being there to listen, you were always there for me. You are one of my life-long friends.
