Hubby and I sat down to dinner at the kitchen table. Rilee already had her dinner in her dish. Since mommy and daddy were now eating it was the perfect time for her to eat too.
All of the sudden Rilee starts backing away from her dish and making a low growl. Hubby and I watch her closely and try to figure out what she's bothered by. Not really sure what she "hears" or "sees" we continue to eat. She goes back to her dish and takes a few more bites and then starts backing away from her dish and growling again...
Hubby and I continue to watch her and try to figure out what she's growling at. She does this a couple more times and even starts to bark.
Now it's become obvious to Hubby and I that Rilee is looking at the fridge... and soon we think we've figured out what she's "bothered" by. She's just become aware that there are 2 other dogs in the kitchen with her!
If we had any doubt... she proved our suspicions correct by jumping at the other dogs in the kitchen. Hubby and I just sat there and chuckled...
Look carefully at the attached picture... you'll see the 2 other dogs she was barking at. I guess she thought they might try to eat her food!

No way!! That is too funny. Isn't it crazy how they can recognize other animals? Our fur-baby notices many animals on TV and barks like crazy - so no Animal Planet at our house! You should try that with Rilee!

ReplyDeleteThe pics of Scruffy and Nikki have been up longer than Rilee has lived in the house... that she finally "noticed" them is pretty funny!
