Rilee and I took a short morning walk around the property where we live this morning (the house here sits on 8 acres of rolling treed hills, and that is surrounded by another 200 acres of rolling treed hills). I let Rilee lead the way and before I knew it we were headed down the driveway... and halfway down the drive Rilee stopped. She's always finding stuff... small tree branches to carry around in her mouth, flowers to smell, holes in the yard to stick her snout down. But today... well, today she found a baby snake! I shouldn't be surprised... I mean we know snakes have been in the house! Luckily this one was dead!
One thing is now certain: I will NOT be taking Rilee out around this place without boots on! No flip-flops or sandals walking in this yard!
