On Saturday Hubby ran the 10K here in Traverse City and some friends of ours were up from Ohio to run the half marathon. Rilee and I went to go cheer them on. Hubby and I weren't really sure how Rilee would do... it would be a lot of people and noise to expose her to. It certainly is an environment I would not have taken our other dogs to... they wouldn't have been able to control their barking. Rilee, however, was great! She walked her way through masses of people without freaking out and met other dogs without incident... she met one little white poodle mix that sure did like her, and I think she kinda liked him too!
It was a great experience for her as we want her to be socialized with dogs and people and she made us proud!
Hubby finished the 10K in 51 minutes and 1 second. Our friends finished the half marathon in 2 hours 19 minutes and 5 seconds. I think everyone was happy with their times, but Hubby said the last mile of his race really kicked his butt! Guess he's starting to show his age! HA HA!!
Congratulations Jack, you did it!! I admire anyone who can run that distance, I can't even walk that far.
