Our Little Girl

Today is a very special day for Hubby and I.  Five years ago I brought home this adorable little girl we named Rilee.  She's a Schnauzer... general breed information on the Internet states:

"A Miniature Schnauzer is full of life. An extrovert, she loves to be in the thick of family action. She wants to touch you and be next to you all the time, and you can bet she'll want to sleep plastered to your side.
A bit of a spitfire, the Miniature Schnauzer is a terrier — that means she's full of herself.  She's a feisty type A and her work involves amusing herself. She is not aloof or independent but needs to be with people, and what's more, she wants to be in close physical contact. (Your lap is no longer your own.)
She's very intelligent, but she's a master of manipulation. That combined with her stubbornness will keep you on your toes.  A Miniature Schnauzer usually plays well with other dogs, but she is brave and fearless around large dogs, a trait that could get her into trouble. She is large and in charge, at least in her own mind.  Playing well with strangers and children depends on how well socialized she is at a young age.
Miniature Schnauzers are sometimes bought without any clear understanding of what goes into owning one. These dogs might end up in need of adoption and or fostering."
And that's exactly what happened to Rilee... she ended up in rescue foster care at a very early age.  She's our third rescue schnauzer, and even though we know Schnauzers are barky, not great with kids, etc., we lover her, and she's a great dog for us.  I couldn't imagine our life without her!

Still in foster care... just got her first hair cut
