Hubby chopped up a pile of logs near the side of the barn that were left when the property was cleared for building, then we decided to do some cleanup in the yard by cutting down some scraggly trees. After that we decided to take down a huge branch on a huge maple in our back treeline. The branch hung way out into a ravine, and we thought taking it out would make room for us to plant a few more spruce trees. Hubby got it down and chopped it up, while I drug the smaller stuff back into the woods. We then hauled the wood up the hill to our wood pile.
As if that wasn't enough, Hubby put away the snow gauge, put up the rain chain, and power washed the deck. I washed down the patio furniture - not with the power washer though... I'm dangerous using a power washer!
Needless to say we both got a darn good workout this weekend!
There's another branch we want to take down on that tree... but that will have to wait for another day!

I stacked this first pile of wood, then I couldn't push or pull the load! So I started carrying it the hill by the armful.
Hubby taking a break... mostly because the chainsaw is stuck.

Much better!
