Boston

Went to Boston last week for a work convention. Got a chance to meet up with a cousin I haven't seen in a very long time... she and her son were my awesome tour guides! We walked the Freedom Trail:

"There is no other place in the United States where you can take in the rich history of America’s Revolution — the events that led up to the historic break from Britain and the brave people who shaped our national government.

The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile red-brick walking trail that leads you to 16 nationally significant historic sites, every one an authentic American treasure. Preserved and dedicated by the citizens of Boston in 1958, when the wrecking ball threatened, the Freedom Trail today is a unique collection of museums, churches, meeting houses, burying grounds, parks, a ship, and historic markers that tell the story of the American Revolution and beyond."

Where did we stop for lunch? Well... we went where everyone knows our name... CHEERS, of course!

I fell in love with Boston Red Sox hats... and although Hubby is a Detroit fan, I just had to buy him a hat from Boston. (He has an extensive baseball hat collection.) I loved the hats with just a pair of red socks on them... so that's what I got him. Then I decided a hat with a red "B" was fitting for me... "B for Bonnie" was what I was thinking! LOL

When I got back home and presented Hubby with his hat, he liked it. Then I told him I had a story to tell him... and it went like this:

Everywhere in Boston I kept seeing these hats with a "B" on them... I had to buy one, as I was pretty sure they were "B for Bonnie". Then I showed him my hat... and he just laughed. I told him when I went into Cheers everyone knew my name... and I was pretty sure it was because I had my hat on!

Hubby thinks I'm a nut, but that's part of the reason he loves me... that's what he tells me!
