Blood Work

Anyone that knows me knows I'm a pretty big baby about needles... especially when being poked for blood! I can handle shots without much of a problem; but that took 10+ years of getting allergy shots twice a week! Eventually it just isn't that big a deal. I guess you could say I'm working on becoming desensitized to being poked for blood, since medication I'm currently on requires monthly blood work! (Imagine my joy!!)

I had some extra blood work done recently in preparation for an appointment with my family doctor later this month... well... he found something of "concern" because I got a call from his office today wanting to move my appointment to sooner rather than later. "It's nothing urgent" the receptionist tells me... yeah, OK, whatever, but "urgent" enough for the doctor to have you call me and schedule my appointment for earlier.

Am I worried? No. Annoyed? A bit. I think at this point I'll just stop having blood work done. I don't find it all that enjoyable, and then we can stop finding things to be "concerned" about! Works for me! Har har har... As my Grandma always told me, "don't get old, it's no fun!" I think I get it now!
