A Year Under Our Belt

We have officially been in our house for a year now!  Ironically we just passed our soil and erosion inspection, which means we finally got our "permanent occupancy permit".  And that means, as a friend pointed out, "you finally got the official thumbs up that your place is safe to live in"!  Never thought I'd be getting the official thumbs up a year after living here... lol.

We certainly accomplished a lot in our first year here, and I'm glad this first year is behind us.  A new house is a wonderful thing, but it's also a stressful, irritating thing until all the quirks get worked through.

We are settled in now, the boxes have all been unpacked, we have grass, and our hillsides are staying in place... so we're feeling pretty good.  We've come a long way baby!
