Meeting The Alpacas

Much to our astonishment, Hubby's parents decided to start an Alpaca Farm this year.  After a recent visit where we got to meet the herd and their new dog, (which will be the herd protector) we think they're really gonna have their hands full... but hey, whatever floats your boat!

Currently they have 15 females at their place; seven of them are pregnant!  They own males also, but they won't bring them to their "farm" until a second pasture is fenced in for them.  You don't mix the males and females unless you want babies... I guess they wanted seven!

Suri, the Komondor, the herd protector.
She's only 16 pounds now...
soon she'll be between 88-110 pounds!

The "Suri Flop"... as Hubby's family calls it

Isn't that a cute face?!?!?!
