Art on the Walls

Hubby and I spent the last two days unpacking and hanging our artwork.  It was like Christmas... there were several pieces we opened we totally forgot we had!  We aren't done, but we certainly made a dent in getting everything up.  Turns out we are getting more placed on the first floor than we had originally anticipated... which means Hubby might just get to have his sports bar themed basement after all!

Here's some of our progress...

One of Hubby's favorites,
by our favorite artist, Ben Richmond.
(who, by the way, just retired and closed up shop.
No more visits to his store in Marblehead, Ohio.
Guess we have all the prints of his we're going to have!)

The framed piece is a German piece we got from Hubby's Great Uncle,
the metal spoon was a wedding gift from Germany.

Finishing the final measurements in the great room
(all Ben Richmond pieces)

A new favorite... a handmade quilted lighthouse from a friend

One of my all time favorites... cross stitched by my sister

A lighthouse/schnauzer print... two of the best things in the world!

More Richmond pieces... the Edmund Fitzgerald and the Titanic

A Pat Norton piece
(an artist that grew up on Neebish Island;
where our property is in the U.P.)

Marblehead Lighthouse in the Fall by Ben Richmond
(Shell... this is one of my favorites)

Our first two dogs... Sweetpea and Scruffy.
Getting this out brought me to tears.
