Hubby was plowing the driveway last night when a beautiful chocolate lab showed up. He was wearing a choke chain, but no tags. He was mild mannered and friendly, following Hubby around; even checking out the inside of our garage. As I was sweeping off the front porch he came over and greeted me with a wagging tail. When I went back inside, he went back to hang out with Hubby.When Hubby finally came inside, the dog sat on the front porch watching through the window. Rilee's not tall enough to see out the front door window (which is good!) It didn't take long though and she was sniffing at the front door... next thing I knew the lab was whining and making odd noises and Rilee would "answer" back! Rilee looked at me with that excited tail wagging a-mile-a-minute look, and as I peaked out the window, so was the lab! It's as if he stopped by to ask if Rilee could come out and play! I looked at Hubby and said, "our little girl's got a boyfriend!"

ReplyDeleteCorrection: not from the house up the street. Our neighbor across the street is keeping him until he can hopefully find the owner(s).
